Structural Project Portfolio - Parking Structures

Some of the parking structure projects that we completed are shown below:

Parking Deck, 900 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland
Investigated causes of deteriorated concrete, and prepared construction documents for the rehabilitation of the concrete. Also, prepared plans for "added topping", to achieve the drainage; completed in 1994.

Structural Evaluation of Parking Levels, Philips Printing Headquarters, Potomac, Maryland
Prepared a Structural Report on the Structural Evaluation of Parking Levels of an office building, describing causes of cracks and restoration methods; completed in 1995.

Parking Garage, Pikesville Plaza, Baltimore, Maryland
Evaluated the deteriorated concrete, and prepared construction documents, providing properties of restoration materials and construction details. Also, provided "construction sequence" to maintain the structural integrity of the building; completed in 1997.

Ballston Parking Garage, Arlington, Virginia
Designed 8-story parking structure with a post-tensioned system and investigated causes of deteriorated concrete of the existing parking structure. Also, prepared construction documents for restoration details of the existing structure. One of complex details included removing an existing column, and constructing three new columns at the same location; completed in 1985.

Parking Structures, Computer Sciences Corporation, Fairfax, Virginia
Designed two 4-story parking structures with a post-tensioned system. The structures were supported on precast piles. Also, the drainage mat was provided underneath the slab-on-grade, for high water level; completed in 1988.

Parking Structure, Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut
Designed 8-story parking structure with a precast system, consisting of double tees with topping; completed in 1981.
