Structural Project Portfolio - Medical Facilities
Some of the medical projects that we completed are shown below:
Geriatric Center, Nursing Home, Baltimore, Maryland
Designed modifications to an existing facility, which included nurses' station, patients' rooms and administrative offices. The roof framing consists of the metal deck, supported by joists; completed in 1998.
Addition to Winter Growth, Assisted Living Community, Columbia, Maryland
The addition includes one story structure to an existing facility. The roof framing consists of wood trusses, supported on metal studs; completed in 1998.
Veterinary Hospital, Monkton, Maryland
Designed 2-story structure for the care of animals. The floor framing included "TJI joists supported by steel beams". The roof framing included pre-engineered wood trusses, supported on glued laminated beams; completed in 2002.
Orthopedic Center, Columbia, Maryland
Investigated existing floor framing to carry loads of a Magnetic Resonance Equipment. Based upon the capacity, the location for the equipment was provided. Also, provided a "path", along which the equipment could be moved; completed in 2002.
Smith Laboratory, Spring Grove Hospital, Catonsville, Maryland
Evaluated the roof framing, and provided modifications to the roof framing to support Roof Top Units; completed in 2005.
Easton Memorial Hospital, Easton, Maryland
Designed 3-additions to an existing facility. The structural system for each of three additions included a "concrete flat plate" system. As the existing foundation did not have the capacity, a cantilever of 9'-0" from the addition was used; completed in 1985.
